Red skin, medium tart, high quality eating and cooking apple. Flesh is crisp, juicy, sprightly and yellowish. Early to ripen and usually heavy bearing. 'Liberty' is one of the best of home orchardists as it is naturally very resistant to the common apple diseases. Plant with a different apple variety for pollination.
